Dio has spammed the fuck out of everyone and reached 2k comments! That means it's QUESTIONS MEME TIME. We're gonna go Dio-only since I doubt my activity for Yzak and Jr. warrants anything at all. (ALSO I JUST WANT TO DO ALL OF THE DIO RAMBLES)

So ask away! Anything! IC things, relations, OOC things, anything related to Dio in general, it doesn't even have to be camp related! Go crazy! Ask more than one thing I seriously want to never shut up! I WILL ASK YOU RANDOM SHIT BACK. WE WILL TL;DR TO EACH OTHER. LET'S DO THIS.

Lol--that's how brooms work back at home. If push comes to shove, Tiffany can probably find a way to fly without the broom--it's just that that would cost a lot of magic.

Tiffany knows that despite acting like he has his head stuck in the clouds, Dio is a competent pilot and not downright spacey like Sky High. His lack of inhibitions with anyone under the mistletoe goes with his easy-going nature . . . though he's definitely a troll. She's not the type to spazz out anyway. Being a speed demon means that Dio is her opposite in most respects, but he's not actually annoying compared to some of the people she knows.

Cindy thinks Dio is another adrenaline junkie given his love of flying and lack of caution when approaching wolves. He's also very easy-going. After checking out his ride, Cindy has him flagged as someone who might be from the military in his world because a speedy craft would have some application for warfare or something similar. It's nothing personal--she does this with all hijack-able machines. That said, she likes Dio because he's easy-going and likes flying too. Also, her gay-dar is going off.

Yes, Cindy's back to normal and getting on with counseling. She does know what happened and can only be pissed at Camp about it. Cindy knew it would happen one day because that's how this place works, but it also came a bad time and Brianna is mad because of all the secrets. Never mind that Cindy is under oath to keep her people's existence a secret and that it was nothing personal--try explaining that to a 12-year old. This might mean that she would have to find loopholes or something around it.

Dio's vanship maintenance routine in Camp?

Also, her gay-dar is going off.

SURPRISE SURPRISE. Also oh boy Cindy's general pings about him are pretty spot on wtg Cindy. :3a

And aww ... poor Cindy. Good thing Dio knows absolutely nothing about those stories cause he was just like ???? OKAY.

Well since things like the mecha and stuff have power sources that are probably hanging down in the hangar so they can be ICly usable there is probably a stash of Claudia down there for his vanship now, since it runs on that stuff. But at the moment he's iffy about just leaving it anywhere (which is why it's assumed in threads-- and pointed out if it comes up, that the vanship is probably in his sights if he's not in it). But he does daily check ups of it, ie everything running smoothly, right clicks and ticks to start it up and that the engine has no problems. He also takes it out for a ride daily.

So tell me a little about this version of Cindy. :3c ie the story and everything and how it differs from the original and what other magical special things there are (like the secrets you mentioned and her people and such)

Dio sets off everyone's gay-dar, basically.

Fables is about fairytale characters in exile because the Adversary invaded their homelands. They settled on Terra Mundy, aka Earth. The largest congregation of Western Fables was in New York--Fabletown in exile. Cindy aka Cinderella is the resident spy and off the books agent. After reaching the new world some 200 years ago, she demanded a divorce from her cheating husband, Prince Charming. Somehow or other, she is recruited by Bigby Wolf, then Sheriff of Fabletown, to be the agent that does the messy jobs. So she's the go-to girl for assassination, hunting rogue Fables, spying on potential defectors and protecting Fable interests on Earth.

Being a member of Fabletown means she has signed the Compact--rule one of the compact is that they can't let the regular humans know about the Fables. Cindy does not know if Camp applies because the people aren't really regular humans. Fables are also very long-lived--it is implied that several centuries is not very old for a Fable. Cindy is also mostly immortal because bullets to the head won't kill her. Powerful Fables can heal and regenerate themselves, so while Cindy doesn't have any magic, she herself is possibly made of magic and human beliefs if not an alien from another world--I blame the writer for the Fables' dodgy origins.

What's Dio's family like?

... woah so Cindy's pretty badass. Fuck yeah abilities to cut people and go be badass.

Also omg best. Question ever.

Basically in Last Exile the first world they lived on were ruled by the Guild, who were supposed to keep everyone fine and dandy until they could return to Earth. The world on LE in the series when it starts has the world in a fun mess and war because of the Guild-- one side of the colony is getting hotter and the other having crazysnow and becoming quickly uninhabitable. Because the colony's weather device is broken and the Guild at one point stopped giving a fuck since it didn't bother them, and eventually just forgot how to repair it altogether anyway.

Dio's older sister Delphine is Maestro/leader of the Guild. '-' And she is Maestro because she killed the other Guild prominent families as well as their own father (possibly mother too, but there is no 100% canon on that).

And she is FUCKING CRAZY. This basically tells you all you need to know about how Dio feels about her. Her entrance not only invokes that response in him but the tall dark silent badass captain you learn to love also flips his shit over her being close enough to possibly kill her-- his first real display of such insane rage. She is the big bad of the series. While the people on the ground strive for good quality water she is up there using the best quality water to wash fish off for her dinner and divulges in all of the decadence as much as she can. She's also manipulative and psychologically commandeering so has a hold over everyone. Which is why Dio feared her because whatever she wanted was going to happen or else. And part of that included brainwashing and losing the freedom to fly.

Even her flashbacks with tinyDio are creepy because of the way she treats him. ): Just aaaah and the face scratch from her roses and her "I LOVE IT WHEN YOU'RE MEEK, DIO" it's maestro time no sis no!!

So yeah basically Dio's family life is. Not ... cool ...

Is there any stuff about Cindy before all that? Like before her divorce and stuff.

. . . Wow, his sister makes every wicked stepmother look like a kitten. And roses are not Dio's favourite flower.

Cindy as Cinderella was a bit of derp and naive enough to trust her Fairy Godmother (a Type-A, Well-Intentioned Extremist who believes that torture and compulsory smiling make for a perfect world) and wedded the prince in order to get out of her life as a serving girl. She honestly wanted to make the marriage work out because Prince Charming was in love with her . . . for all of five minutes because that's his nature. So she got rather bitter after the nth time he cheated on her. She was trapped in the role of the princess--even more so than when she was a maid.

You could say there was a major case of arrested development and not much maturation between the time when she was a naive girl and a bitter princess. Hence she can play around with cute furry animals and kill people for her job. As one of the most normal-looking Fables, she gets to travel the world and she loves her job so much because of the freedom it affords her--she really hates the idea of being trapped.

There may be more if they ever do her origin story or cover more of her in the spin-off series focusing on female Fables.

Dio meets your other characters--what happens next?
