Hamilton was a Guild house, so she's Guild-- and it was Bassianus that is confirmed to have mixed with commonfolk, though they don't mention what Hamilton's actions there were (they were neutral on most matters :|a) so since Al's only canon relative was her grandfather maybe her parents were Guild/common or something and they came in later.
